                   Group Fitness, Active Adult Fitness and Adult/Kids Boxing Fitness Description

GROUP FITNESS:

BOKWA® is Different. It is not really a dance workout – there is no choreography and no counting steps. Participants draw letters and numbers with their feet, while moving together to music in free form rhythm. Everyone is doing it. If you can move and you can spell, you can do Bokwa®. From 4 year old kids, to men and women in their seventies, to guys with “2 left feet”, to world champion dancers, Bokwa ® engages participants of all ages in the same class and to the same music.

Cardio Box: You’ll enjoy high-intensity drills while burning 300-600 calories. A cardiovascular workout consisting of jabs, hooks, uppercuts and kicks designed to get you on your way to a leaner body and a healthier state of mind. No equipment is used and gloves are not required.

Iron Yoga: Is a unique practice that combines yoga poses with upper body weight training for a full body workout. While practicing some o your favorite standing and single leg balancing yoga asanas, you will incorporate light to moderate dumbbells to work your arms, shoulders, chest back and core with over 25 different weight training exercises.

Lotus Flow Yoga:  Blending many styles including Hatha, Kundalini, and traditional Asthanga-Vinyasa. This form of yoga challenges the limits of the body and the mind while synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures & asanas. Results are improved circulation, a tight and tone body and a quiet mind.

Pompano Pump: Participants choose their weights bases on the exercise and their personal goals. Major muscle groups are worked via series of compound and isolation-based exercises including squats, presses and dead lifts. The focus is to sculpt the body while improving strength and agility.

Zumba®: Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and International beats. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! It’s easy to do. effective and totally exhilarating.

ACTIVE ADULT FITNESS:

Silver Cardio/Strength: For seniors who are fit and active looking for a challenge. A low-impact aerobic workout combined with upper and lower body strength exercises, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation.

SilverSneakers® Classic: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles & a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance.A chair used for seated and/or standing support.

Sit Fit Yoga: Move your whole body through a series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chairs provide support for various postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Breathing exercise and a relaxation period reduce stress and improve mental clarity.

Zumba Gold ®: Perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity.

 

ADULT/KIDS BOXING FITNESS

ADULT BOXING:

Fitness Kickboxing: Fitness Kickboxing classes work on Hand-Leg co-ordination, kicking combinations and developing your upper and lower body movement, building up your speed and your hand-leg techniques. We also put the rounds in on the Punch Bag, working set combinations and Freestyle bag work. As well as adding strength and fitness training in the program.

Total Fit Boxing: Boxing has become on of the most popular workouts today due to its capacity to build a strong, lean and powerful body. Boxing workouts are a great way to relieve stress and build confidence while burning over 800 calories an hour. Total Fit Boxing consists of a warm up, shadow boxing, speed and strength training, heavy bag training, partner drills, calisthenics and a cool down.

KIDS BOXING:

Complete Kid Conditioning: Learn the physical benefits of boxing conditioning with cardio exercises, bag hitting, handmits and boxing technique drills all while having fun with an engaging coach. Boxing training is a great confidence builder for all ages.

Junior Rocky: Learn proper boxing stance, footwork and individual combination punching. Develop defense sills and learn blocks and slips. Workout using heavy bag, target mitt work and situation sparring. As well it provides excellent condition-calisthenics, ply metric drills.

OUT REACH CLASS:

Special Needs Boxing: A non-contact boxing circuit for those with special needs. These holistic classes promote improved motor skills, core strength, enhanced social skills, team building, self confidence and overall well being.
